Last night was another proof that MMA has definitely taken the spotlight from boxing.

    Nice!

Seriously though, why do MMA guys try to prove their sport is "better" and "winning" at something?

Boxing is legendary while MMA is still on

Because the ufc is built on pure hype and they need hype to keep it going.

Or you don't have a definite school.

You watch. When one moves into PR, Colon will go bankrupt and you'll have an army within three years.

            Pride is dead.

Dream is hopelessly focusing on Grand Prixs and killing comedians.

Elite XC is a boxing promoter's version of MMA.

There is no definite number 2 promotion. Win or lose, UFC is it right now.

You obviosly are not from Puerto Rico, boxing here is the national pastime. FIghts here make front page news, when Tito or Cotto come home from a victory the whole island shuts down.

Boxing in PR is something sacred, is in the news everyday and its not just about puertorican fighters. Even Mayweathers bull**** comments made it into the sport section today. Ufc is **** here and it has no chance.

What do you expect to find at bars? MOst are loaded with rednecks and rednecks would love to watch WWE or MMA stuff. It's same category and both attract the same crowds.

The fight on saturday was the equivalent to a mike tyson or lennox lewis heavyweight title fight, pac-diaz was just a fight for hardcore boxing fans... it wasnt advertised at all.

There was a whole show on spike that advertised UFC 86.
