why dont black fighters go toe to toe??

many of the top black fighters are pure boxers who focus on running and defense. why is this?? the fans want to see exciting kos but these men like mayweather wright hopkins spinks taylor etc. are scared to go to war. even a fighter who could be a great action fighter like kendal holt is torn because sometimes he gives the fans a vicious ko like he did last night and then theres times where he just runs like a coward for 12 rounds. why do these people refuse to go to war and gives the fans excitement?? they would make way more money if they tried to be excting fighters.

Not because they are black but all of those fighters you mentioned are boxers. Would you rather go to war with a knife of a pistol? There's also allot of white fighters who do the same: Mallignagi for instance comes to mind.

well, most of it is the perception that were lazy and have a sense of entitlement. Most african immigrants come here and snatch up any oppurtunity for work, and bring forth a sense of culture and community and try to excel in all aspects of schooling, work and community ethic.

Thats the thing though, they bring a sense of culture, for black here in america, america is our culture. All of our culture was lost the moment we got off the boat and were sold. My first name is Andres, does that sound like african culture to you? Essentially in america blacks have to form their own culture and ideals from scratch. Thats why its harder in some ways for us as a race to have a direction in some instances.

Everyone else, irish immigrants, italian immigrants, mexican immigrants, bring their culture with them, whereas we were born here and have to make due with what we have. Africans have a hard time understanding this, thus they dont understand the dynamic as to why we are in the way we are in some instances.

Just like black americans have a hard time understanding why africa is so ****ed up, when african immigrants get here and excel in the things i mentioned above. Its a complicated issue with no real resolution.

I dont want to see this thread turn into what that "arent mexicans/filipinos the same" turned into.

What ELGRAN asked me was legit because hes right, they dont exactly go deep into african/black culture in mexican schools thus alot of what mexicans know about blacks is left to perception and more often then not, that perception isnt very good. id rather be answering questions that might give someone a better understanding as opposed to race baiting and fighting over **** that in retrospect teaches nobody nothing.

Black is a race yes. Blacks are from africa yes.

Most of us were brought to other countries through slavery. The largest population of blacks outside of africa is brazil, the portugese/spanish brought ALOT of ****** to work in latin america because the indians

1. couldnt really handle the harsh working conditions that the africans were accustomed to.

2. They were murdering and raping them

3. Sadly europeans brought diseases and the indians were not genetically equipped to survive them

The english/colonists brought ****** to the eastern united states. The spanish/portugese brought alot of ****** to the carribean/latin/central america what have you. Thats why you see so many of us there.

Through slavery we were basically displaced all over the world.

The thing is though, in mexico, very few ****** were brought, thus with mexico and probably argentina, you had the fewest blacks/****** being imported to build those countries. Thats why you dont see blacks in mexico/argentina, like you do in peru, venezuela, colombia, cuba, etc

Thats why for the most part, mexicans look either like their spanish counterparts, or indian, or both.

The spanish and portugese, through raping, forced labor and murder, created alot of what you see today.

Im skipping alot of history but basically im tryin to summarize a complicated issue.
