    Of course Holt learned from the best and had to undergo vigorous body bag work with his crania in order to develop a tolerance. This would nullify any pain on his part from such a devastating KO headbutt.

You can clearly notice as Holt's head bobs to 'his' right, Torres' head simultaneously jerks to 'HIS right, or Holt's left before he stumbled to HIS left and against the ropes. Meaning that Torres was reacting to something else that propelled him against the ropes. A head butt to the jaw at that moment would have jerked Torres' head in the opposite direction. Rather, it looks like Torres responded to an initial right hand, leading up to the fatal one. This observation is also supported by the opinion of another boxingscene staff writer who was at ring side.

      "Holt caught Torres with a right hand that put him to the ropes and Holt's second right hand was a devastating punch that slumped a motionless Torres into a seated position on the middle rope, face down, out cold, and the fight was over just 1:01 into the first round."

      and from another boxingscene observer:

      "Holt was knocked down again and appeared to be in serious trouble. As Torres moved in for the kill, Holt stood his ground and Torres walked right into a hook [right hook] and a right hand that knocked him out cold."

        ^^From the angle I saw it and based on how his head jerked, it looked like a short right hook. It also look almost like that on the youtube video but indeed, the head seems to either get there first or at the same time, leaving it for me, more ambiguous since I'm not convinced based on that clip in isolation which had the relevant impact. Obviously the headbutt isn't what knocked him out and it wasn't what put him in that situation.

          I never indicated that it was on purpose... matter of fact, I havent heard anyone indicate that it was on purpose.

          The report found at "east side boxing" states;

          "As with the first meeting between these two fighters, there was more than a touch of controversy last night, however. An accidental, but without doubt debilitating, head butt from Holt crashed into Torres' skull mere seconds before the fight ending right hand. Torres was badly hurt by the butt and without it he may have been able to have avoided the right hand that came after it. The action came so thick and fast that at first it was very hard to see that the butt had landed. But in replay it was clear to see the clash of heads had stunned Torres and hurt him seriously.
          No doubt making a protest in the near future, the Torres camp will have a case. However, referee Jay Nady had absolutely no chance of getting in between the two men to warn Holt for the head-butt. Neither Nady of any other referee is that fast. Maybe if he'd been given some time to recover from the clash Torres would not have been dispatched so quickly? We will never know. In all likelihood a third and deciding bout will be called for.

                Again another poster who acknowledges the but wasn't on purpose...

                  According to half the posters, the butt put him out.

                    Anyone that sais it was on purpose is blind... that said, anyone who doesnt acknowledge that it happened and it was debilitating is also blind.

                      So, it was debilitating to Torres, but not to Holt is your point then?
