Is the objective for the P4P #1 fighter and most exciting fighter in the sport (as proclaimed by his fans) to sell around 200K and/or "in front of decent crowds"?

The "marketable commodity" discussion is debatable on the sheer basis of the weight of the evidence. When Erik/MAB/JMM fight each other, they do 300-350K.

When Pac fights Erik/MAB/JMM, he does 350K.

When pac fights anybody else, the sales fizzle. 100-200K.

watched all Velero and Linares fights - arguably two best P4P fighters there is. Pacman is the medias flavour of the month and the one most uneducated fight fans shout for. If Arum/Pacman dares get the fight on, and they are throwing up as many excuses as possible, then we will see what happens.
okay. i'll take your word on valero you probably have seen more of him but i've seen a few of his recent fights and i don't think he can beat manny.

he looks like he can **** but i don't know about his skills. he might be open to a right hook all night long. i don't think he'd be able to handle manny's handspeed to be honest with you.

manny flavor of the month? flavor of the uneducated fight fans? ok.

Those are not the ONLY lightweights. those are four.

If Pac goes back and fights a random SFW, then he was basically belt-shopping vs the weakest LW. Pac should fight a top ten LW. What pac did was what Zab just did at 154.

And, yes... I already discussed the guz/jmm/casa/etc fights ad infinitum. Even started a thread.

Anybody who has valero in your top ten P4p, please raise your hand. Now, take that hand and slap yourself as hard as you can.

What does that have to do with where Pacquiao and Valero end up fighting? The PPV will do the same numbers in Texas as it would in Las Vegas.

agree Valeros defence (or lack of) is the only way I could see manny beating him. Either way it would be fight of the year, but as I say I dont see it happening.
Try and see as much of Linares, for a guy who is so young he is one hell of a fighter, as he showed against Larios.

outside of juan/juanma/joan/nate/michael/joel there's santa cruz , julio , raheem and khan.

people's view of julio is even worse than david before he fought manny. santa cruz lost to david. khan would be a good draw but he's too young to throw out there against manny. raheem is solid but i don't think arum wants to throw any of his fighters with raheem after what happened to erik.

valero is probably a good choice considering those options. a 130 lb. champion would draw more attention than the #10 or 11 guy in the division.

......and you talk like manny is picking on little guys. manny 3 months ago was 130 lbs. himself. juan ma and joan are SFW you don't want to see manny fight them?

jorge is good but i'm on the juan ma lopez bandwagon right now. i think that kid will be special...... maybe the 2 will fight each other at 126 sometime in the future.
