If Mayweather came back and lost to Cotto

Would you guys actually have more respect for him for having the guts to face Cotto, then actually staying retired and leaving the sport dodging Cotto?

I voted yes, but Im not sure. If he comes back it will be more for money than legacy in my opinion. I couldn't disrespect him for that, but Im not sure he would get my full respect if his motives were selfish. He should have fought the best to begin with. When he was at 130 he was a warrior. After that he's pretty much picked and choosen instead of taking on fighters who had earned the vright to fight the best. Jmo.

Everyone still hates Floyd.. He should have done this before instead of fighting Oscar twice and handpicked his opponents at 147..

I would respect him more than I do now, not that I don't respect him now.

Yeah I would respect him more because right now he has been talking a lot of trash about Cotto, yet he retires without fighting him.

That is a good point that I didn't take into consideration. In that case I would have to say undoubtedly, yes.
