Floyd Mayweather Takes a Shot at Pacquiao, Boxing's Best

Mayweather doesn't fight the best. He picks a random alphabet title, talks a lot of garbage to hype the fight, wins, and then jumps ship when the truly elite in the division want a shot at him.

Maybe he was the best p4p fighter, but he wasn't the best Welterweight. He hadn't proved it. He fought Judah (an actor and fouler), and then fought has-beens or never-weres from surrounding divisions. Margarito, Cotto, and Williams had nothing to prove to "earn" a shot at Mayweather. They are the best welterweights. Even if they have, or end up with losses on their records, they will go down as better welterweights because they fight the best around them.

If Mayweather would have ever went up against Margarito, Cotto, Williams, or Mosley, lost a time or two, had a trilogy in there somewhere, but won the majority, his legacy as an all-time great would have been cemented. Instead, it's a giant question mark.

I have respect for Floyd. PBF might earn more money thatn Pac, but Pac will be always talk about as the most exciting fighter today. You can't say that about PBF.

What a great time to retire, just when you see Margarito, Cotto, Pacquiao coming up to the primes of their careers you decide to walk away and all of a sudden "start loosing" desire for the sport... Just because you have an undefeated record does not make you the greatest of all time. What makes you great is when you step up to the plate and face the best there is and beat them (NO ****ING EXCUSES), and if you still have an undefeated record after that, then I guess you would earn the respect of all of the people who have been dogging you including me, Mayweather.
