If a fighter's beard is too big the commission makes them shave it before the fight. I'm pretty sure they do that worryin about scratchin/cuts, but either way it would nullify the so-called 'advantage'. Tony don't need any protection anyway. He can take whatever leather Cotto or any other WW puts on his jaw cuz of his "beard", not his actual beard. How would that keep you from gettin hurt by a punch unless it was damn near a fro?
