how can you be the greatest british boxer when your punches look like a girls punches. sorry but without the marketing machine he would never have been the peoples champion. if you think of boxing as what it was rather than what it is today, his style would not have inspired peoples hearts or imaginations. respect to him forhis achievements but i dont think he deserves top spot. i'm no expert tho.

He is definately one of, it not THE best british boxer ever.

LOL at Hopkins. "Watch that Straight Right Hand, It comes from Nowhere!" He should have listened before he got put on his ass.

Then him and Frank Warren tried to say Roy ducked him. Calzaghe has specifically said in the past that in Roy's prime, he thought he was unbeatable and didn't want to fight the legend. It wasn't until the first Tarver fight that Calzaghe saw that he was becoming human. Then Warren comes out with this BS that Hopkins and Jones have been ducking JC for years. Don't get me wrong, I think JC is extremely talented and fun to watch, but I do not believe he is on the same tier as prime Hopkins, Jones, or Toney. In fact, I believe Hopkins and Jones would have stopped him in their primes...

Word! Calzaghe didn't want none of ROY, he would have made joe a laughing stock of the 90's. Joe knew that, reason he never made it happen..... lol Joe was scared and admitted it.. now he wants jones because Pavlik hits to hard and Jones lost a few.... its cool, will be a good fight.... I have Jones coming out on top.... The Prime jones and the OLD jones both have too much speed, too much power and just too much boxing ability for little joey... Jones double, and triple left hooks will just over whelm him.... while JOE tries to counter with his slaps, roy will probably stick his tongue out..... wave at him and probably hit at will... SERIOUSLY..... lol

Jones VS Calzaghe will be a good fight. Like I have said. Jones comes out on top if he shows up 100% like he said he will.....
