There ain't never gonna be a rematch. Lacy wouldn't want one if he was sane anyway. And if he did get one, wtf is he gonna do differently. It would do him good to get KO'd in rd 1 as opposed to bein dragged thru anotha 12 rd torture chamber. I respect him for not bein scared but this is ******.

70% going into a championship match?? Lame...
You should be at 100% each and everytime you step into the ring, especially for a championship match...

to think joe will give that ***** another beating...tut..tut and with such primitive boxing skill too. he only has a "left hook" and ever since the fight before joe we aint seen since!
joe got noticed when he beat chris eubank(almost 12 years ago!) who..beat nigel benn who beat ALL THE AMERICANS! and not forgetting ofcourse, james toney wanted no part of either benn or eubank nor did roy jones junior!
anyway, back to lacy the bum...i think sakio beka could beat him with considerable ease.
put ur mommy in to fight taylor, the fight would be billed "BATTLE OF THE BITCHES"! UR MOMMY WOULD WALK AWAY WITH A TITLE IF TAYLOR HAD ONE! OH, I FORGOT HE HAS ONE, ITS ****SUCKER!
Jones did'nt want any? LOL, thats the funniest **** ive ever heard. Those fools were too scared to even mutter the great Rjj's name more less fight him. To fight the champ, you first have to go to him. Eubank and Benn did'nt want none, thats why the fights didnt happen. Neither did Calzaghe until he saw Jones' skills slip a little. There is an interview from 01-02 where he clearly said that he did'nt want to fight Jones because of the skill he possessed. You need to really brush up on your boxing knowledge before coming out spouting off nonsense like that son. Toney would have beat either of those chumps too. You really think that Jones and Toney who went up to heavyweight and won titles were scared of some natural SMW pretenders? Gimme a break and put a sock in it.

Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank should not be underestimated, and certainly should not be described as chumps. Either one of them would have been the best SMW Jones or Toney faced in their careers at that weight, and one of the best fighters either had faced period.

I hope Lacy does well and comes back, but he needs to stop thinking about rematching Joe. Joe smashed on him thoroughly (no ****) and Joe's only got at MOST probably 3 fights left, if he fights Roy, then Pavlik, he'll probably go out fighting another top name like a Tarver, maybe a Chad Dawson if he's atop LHW.

A Lacy rematch does nothing for him, because there's no way Lacy can build up his rep like it was built before his first fight with Calzaghe.

I WAS being a little over critical, but I don't believe that those two should be mentioned in the same breath as Jones. I think that Jones and Toney are one of each others top 5 oponents too. Both being soundly better than Eubanks or Benn. I give them warrior credit, but they did'nt have what it took to last 12 rounds with Jones or Toney @ SMW. If anyone should have got credit, it should have been Steve Collins aka "Celtic Warrior", who beat them both handily. And, had he fought Jones, he would have been badly KO'd as well.

Lacy's career might be over if he ever stepped in the ring with Calzaghe again.

what has lacy done to deserve a rematch? barely, controversially win his last 2 fights against a bunch of bums? fight once a year and look like crap? JC ruined him and his career. I hope Taylor knocks his ass out and prevents HBO/Showtime from wasting any more money on this guy...

Well, as you should know. Calzaghe says that this is his last fight. I however, know that it will not be. Jones will beat him and he will be forced to seek a rematch or to fight to rebuild his legacy. So, you may be right. However, I hate to dampen the Lacy fans dreams: He will not be fighting Jeff again, no matter how it plays out.
