Oscar at 154 is a bigger challenge than Cotto and Marge.

Cotto can't even say Floyd's name nor has Arum ever made him an offer.

Merchant and Lampley both tried like hell to get Cotto to say he wanted Floyd..to no avail.
And Mayweather has made an attempt at 147 to fight Cotto?
Oscar is so out of his prime how can you say he is a bigger challenge than cotto, even at 154.

He couldn't have taken PBF at 140. Smart move. had PBF said then "**** him he ain't in my league" he'd be damn right.

          Why should he??

It's up to Cotto to pursue the MAN..not the other way around.

Arum NEVER made Floyd an offer to fight Cotto.

Shane was out of his prime as well..and didn't look nearly as good as Oscar did that night against Floyd.

The Oscar that Floyd fought would beat the **** outta' Cotto and Marge..hell..Tony couldn't even handle Santos at 154.

            Here ya go, genius.

"If he was thinking Pacquiao, he took himself out of the sweepstakes," Arum said. "He's not appealing to the people. I gotta do 350,000 homes (on pay-per-view) on these fights. I'm lucky I do 150,000 with him.

Junior-welterweight champion Joan Guzman remained undefeated with a unanimous decision over Humberto Soto on Saturday night.

I agree with that. My point is that Cotto wasn't really in the radar at that time so I don't really see what this thread is about...

I like Cotto a lot, but while he might be close to being ready now, he sure as hell wasn't then.

Oscar is over now. He was a part time fighter a few years past his prime. When I said top challengers, I meant welterweights. I mean we are talking about the welterweight champion. Saying that Cotto needs to call him out is the epitome of a *****. Merchant says wherever he goes people ask him when they are going to fight. Did Floyd ever say that he'll fight Cotto if he says his name in an interview? Did he say he was waiting for an offer from Arum? He basically just dismissed him as someone he wasn't interested in. And it's not like Mayweather would ever bring his or Margarito's name up himself.

Ok, you produced that and it is authentic. Sorry that Guzman's inactivity and boring style creates zero demand for his fights. He can only get title fights by being a mandatory challenger. But if he beats Nate Campbell he should be at the top of the list of opponents for Pacquaio.
