Should Cotto have turned down the Mayweather offer back at 140?

I, for one (and i won't speak for anyone else), realize that the reason most big fights are made (or not made) is because of money. So it is in my interest as a fan to maintain some reasonable amount of knowledge about the business and numbers.
Example: after Gooz beat Soto, Arum said that he wouldn't match Pac w/ Gooz because 'Pac needs to do 350K buys'. Not 'pac will fight the best guy'.
....maybe a mayweather fan coerced arum into saying that.
What do i know...my IQ is in the low 50's.

Hey Dios, as a WHITE Mexican, I know you are going through your black panther faze having just realized that you as a proud Dominican are basically a black man with a spanish accent... but your pro black bias is soooooo transparent.
Peace out my young black brother.
Looks like you're going through your **** faze..the way you capitalized WHITE and seem to be offended by a Black Dominican being proud.
Peace out you white wannabe illegal immigrant.

I don't know what quotes you read, but what I heard Arum say is that Guzman's style isn't fan friendly and he is looking for someone who will make an attractive matchup with Manny. Of course if Guzman could bring in substantial money, Arum would be more flexible. But he is awful to watch and Arum knows his tactic would be to make Pacquiao look bad rather than make a good fight. I'd like you to link me to any quote of Arum saying anything about "350K buys". I've followed Arum for many years and it doesn't sound like something he would say.

Oscar at 154 is a bigger challenge than Cotto and Marge.
Cotto can't even say Floyd's name nor has Arum ever made him an offer.
Merchant and Lampley both tried like hell to get Cotto to say he wanted Floyd..to no avail.
