Oh wait, so now he's champion in recess? Maybe him and Vitali can play together at recess, but they'd better be careful. They could pull something else...
Last time I checked, Chagaev has hepatitis. I don't think we'll be seeing a whole hell of a lot more from him (like I'd be shocked if the Vitali/Peter fight actually comes off.)

Chagaev has been stripped of the regular WBA title.

He's been given a "champion in recess" title. Valuev and Ruiz will fight for the regular title.

Hopefully Valuev loses and retires. I could care less about the Ruiz rematch, Valuev is boring and just awful to watch. Chagaev vs. Peter unification after win over Valuev that's what should happen.

                    News reports this morning:

                    * The WBA has ordered Ruiz vs. Valuev must take place before August 31.
                    * They have until July 15 to decide where the fight will take place (likely Germany), or it will go to purse bid

There's no heavyweight in the top 10 who has fought (and beat) the opposition Ruiz has, regardless of his popularity. Ruiz won the first Valuev fight, and was robbed in Germany. Ruiz also lost a very close decision to Chagaev, which could have easily been a draw. The guy doesn't give up, and although his style isn't all that pleasing, the man can fight or he would not be two time heavyweight champion. That is saying something - regardless of the era he obtained the title.

The one thing I can see happening in this fight is father time catching up with Ruiz. However, if the same Ruiz shows up as in the past few fights, I can see him winning a UD over Valuev (like he deserved last time). Ruiz has proven to be very consistent, and always shows up ready for anything. Valuev really is garbage, but he's so damn tall that most guys can't reach his damn chin.
