Will they be fighting in August in Puerto Rico or at a later date? Seems to me, that Valuev just finished his training camp for Chagaev and shouldn't need that much time to get ready for Ruiz...

John Ruiz has been quoted as saying he's happy to have this opportunity.

I think this fight will be more decisive than the first one. Valuev will have a strategy in mind.

You're putting too much stock in that BoxRec Aug 2 date for Ruiz. He'll be pulling out of that immediately - the title is MUCH more important to him.

I expect this fight will be in September, either in Germany or the US.

why no "who cares" option , tun???

john ruiz is one of the most boring heavyweight i've ever since......

i could care less for that hair freak valuev either......

this heavyweight era is our comeuppance for the 60's and 70's......ali , frazier , foreman , liston , norton , shavers , ellis , young , chuvalo , williams , lyle , bonavena......

jerry quarry probably would be the best skilled fighter at heavy in this era.

I am hoping for a double knockout,in which both suffer career ending injuries...

If it's on free tv,and I am laying on the couch, sick with a cold, and there are no good late night infomercials on...I will look forward to seeing it.

No, Wlad's comparable to any of those guys in both power and skill, and his chin has held up well in his last five title fights.

I ENJOY the current heavyweights - my favorites are Wlad, Povetkin, Arreola and Boystov.

It is true there's only two decent American heavies - Arreola and Thompson. But over the world, there's LOTS of 18 to 21 year old heavyweights coming up - the division will be in good shape in the years to come, unless you feel there needs to be an American champ.

But yes, Ruiz sucks and Valuev is a freak.
