I don't see necessarily how this fight would give Donaire the advantage over Mijares, seeing how Arce fights nothing like Mijares and Mijares dominated him.

edit: Oh wait, Arce is the mandatory for Mijares. Then Donaire would become the mandatory.

Sorry to say, both Arce and Mijares will lose to Donaire by tko or even a ko. Arce is past his prime and is too short for Donaire, but he does have a lot of heart could go to distance but one sided I agree with that. Now Mijares, got his a$$ whooped by a one handed one dimensional fighter, what do you think is his chance against a young, hungry, fast and can punch with both hands will do to him, close to murder..Montiel will be much more competitive, but as long as Donaire trains hard those guys has nothing on him, the only guy that will give him problems and will definetly happen in the future is a move up in weight and fight Juan Manuel Lopez...I'm talkin about maybe two yrs from now, both guys will be experience enought. Donaire has the built to move up that weight and guaranteed that he will follow Manny PACQUIAO'S footstep and move up in weight in the future. DONAIRE the next BEARER OF THE FILIPINO HOPE AND DREAMS...

I would favour Donaire in this match up, to fresh and strong for Arce. Although like always Arce would come to win, and show a warriors heart.

I don't know for a fact if those japanese champions have been avoiding Donaire, but I do know one thing is that Donaire has stated that he wanted to unify the belts in the past. Besides, I really thought that Raul Martinez fight was gonna be hard, but Donaire made it look easy, I don't think that the Japanese champs are as skilled as Martinez. With that said, Donaire will pummel both Japanese champs and does unifies the belts..Waste of time, go up and make a quick work of Mijares, then fight Montiel, skip ARCE, nothing to gain from that fight. Mark my word, in the near future you guys might wanna save this quote.." Donaire will avenge Penalosa's lose to Juan Ma in the near future." And to beat Juan Ma who really has no weakness, is to try and expose his chin with uppercuts and bodyshots, and midsection shots, watch JUAN MA fights and he's got his chin tuck and midsections covered. It's gonna be hard cause right now Donaire is not ready for Juan Ma but will be in the near future, and I think with experience, he has the ability to avenge Penalosa's defeat.
