Can someone tell me how can a champion unify in the lower weight division if Japan doesn't recognize the other belts?

Ditto. This sure is ****. Though I live in Japan, I can't stand up for this policy. Those of you who are interested in why Japan has not recognized the WBO and IBF, look into Japan IBF and its history. You can understand the reasons to a just bit extent, perhaps. Maybe you don't understand them at all. Be that as it may, to change the circumstance Japan's pro boxing has been under for such a long time, someone needs to hit the JBC officials in the heads with a two-by-four and let them realize that it's about time they forgot about the past and moved on. Of course I'm joking, but something must be done to cause nearly the same effect on them since the JBC consists of a bunch of block-headed guys. I dare to give them that.

And once again, Ronnie needs to write an article that would appeal to fight fans how Japan has not been doing right, not an article how Nonito Donaire is feared and avoided.

Arce is no longer in his prime. However, it will still be an interesting fight too see cuz Arce is the kind of fighter that won't just go away easily.

He will absorb some nasty punishment first, and his body will fail him in late rounds.

I think Arce will last the 12 rounds. Sure those might be 12 one sided rounds, but I think he lasts the distance. Arce took a huge beating against Mijares. I know Mijares isn't the strongest (anything but that), but he took some brutal shots and combos.

Arce is but a stepping stone towards a showdown with mijares. Donaire's punches seem to loop more than Mijares but he has a superb jab when he actually uses it and that crisp left hook would certainly be 1 of his keys to victory against Mijares

Nonito needs this fight to be ready for Mijares. I'm also a fan of Arce, but I think he'll lose a wide UD to Nonito.
