              Zale was from Gary, Indiana. Mostly fought out of Chicago. You might be confusing him with Fritzie Zivic, a hall of famer from Pittsburgh.

                No. It's because of his nick-name. And Pittsburgh is known for it's steel-industry isn't it? So I kinda always thought he came from that town.

                  Pittsburgh is definitely known as the Steel City (everyone in my family born before me was from there), but I'm guessing Zale got his nickname for being so damn tough. Harry Greb is from Pittsburgh if you want tough, lol.
