Pac's career is just peaking right now and the fighters out there are bigger challenges to him then Mayweather's options.

Hatton is bigger than him physically and just as fast as Pac.
The lightweight divisions is STACKED so there is no way he wouldn't be able to fight great competition such as Campbell, Casamayor, Diaz, Katsidis, JMM etc.

its just seems like Pac will be more accepted and actualy LOVED as the P4P#1 fighter than Mayweather and some people arent liking that.

Mayweather fought the smaller Hatton as an actual career move..trying to sell the belief that that was the best fight available for him at the time.

Meanwhile nobody is pretending valero is the biggest threat. Just that Pacquiao had already committed to 3 fights in 08 since last year. Just so happened all the dudes he wanted to fight are all already busy. so valero was the next best option just to keep busy.

Pacquiao himself admittedly dont want the fight. They already interviewed Pac and dude didnt even kno Valero's record or that he was beltholder even though he was a former sparring partner for pacquiao.
