Yeah, that's what I'm essentially saying.

Good post. How many Americans were rooting for Hatton, same goes for Calzaghe.

America is a very patriotic country like the UK, Boxing is big in America with key fights being there, so it's kinda natural too.

What ppl actually criticise is bias, and obviously that exists in all nations, but some think more so in the US, and the UK. Tbh I think more so America for the reasons stated, lack of media coverage of the european boxing scene and it's fights, plus a belief the mecca of boxing is usa and nothing needs attention unless its in the US or on US tv.

There's great objective posters all over the place and certainly so of Americans.
Many Americans are in denial of the Europeans taking over as the mecca of boxing. Many of the top fighters are from Europe now and fights in Europe will have many more fans showing up to watch a fight then in the states. The Americans like to use the cop out that "our best boxers are playing football and basketball" to explain why there are so few American champs and every top HW is European. Using that logic we could say the UK would have dominate boxing since 1950 but our best fighters were becoming doctors and lawyers.

I was going nominate this post as the dumbest thing on boxing scene, but then I keep going back to your pathetic signature and laughing my ass off.

LOL. P4P#3. I like how he moved up on your list after that miserable performance recently. Good job ******.

I don't care where any boxer is from. I either like them or I don't. I'm pretty confident that America's world status doesn't depend on how many boxing champions we have.
