What I notice on Puerto Rican fights Compared to Mexicans...

I notice that the Puerto Rican fighters have better technical skills and footwork then the majority of mexicans.

Mexicans have that traditional straight up no special effects type of boxing.

    You can see the difference.

Mexicans are tough ass fighters though and love to brawl if they have too but many of them are too up right and stuff like Soto, erik morales, barrera, and jmm no head movement at all.

I think the Puerto Ricans can mix up there game instead of being just textbook, like Ivan Calderon, Miguell Cotto, and juan ma-lo lopez.

The Cubans have also a very different style they know how to improvise and mix things up to be un predictable and slick like gamboa and casamayor.

Yeah, it's pretty much obvious with the exception of Trinidad.

Puertorican style is better than mexican all day!!!!!! just messing with the mexicans

Mexican style can also be very technical. Put barrera-hamed for example.

the thing with puertorican and mexican(excluding Cintron) is that when it comes down to it, they will brawl to get that W no matter what and never give up.

u don't hear of many mexican olympians while on the other hand in PR, they have a very profound amateur system with the mentality of moving to professional.

Yesterday I met with the PR Olympic Boxing team on their tour through out some of the gyms in the Islands and I asked one of the guys what are his plans after Olympics and he said pretty much all of 'em r going pro.

Trinidad was Exemplary talented and a very good technician until he fell in love with his power punch. He has a great amateur career and at the beginning at pro he had great reflects.

Cintron never learned boxing in PR, started at 19 and he sucks

its not dumb its not even an insult!

mexicans have a different style thats why they are getting hit by pacman cause he is unorthodox and has Flava and style...mexicans are like line dancers bland and textbook...mexicans are great counter puncher but they always stand straight up and or move forward like margarito...they are tough but they almost all have the similar style even juilo chavez its effective and its no diss, mexicans have amazing chins and get hit alot if they had weak chins it wouldnt be a great style to stand stiff like that.

jmm is the only boxer I seen from mexican who is not really flat footed and gets on the balls of his feets and bounces around...the rest of them are Flat footed.

lol at you listing then exceptions like trinidad and cintron.
