Once Calzaghe retires after his fight with Jones and David Haye gets dismantled by the behemoth Klithchko, they will have china chined Khan and Hatton who would never step up to 147 and **** with the elite. We already have someone who will take Maywethers spot again and his name is Andre Berto he has that slick Mayweather defense with just as much speed as Floyd, with one of the most devastating uppercuts I have ever seen.Berto is the complete package offense and defense

when hatton and calzaghe retire we will have Haye who by that point will be heavyweight champ, we also have lots of good amateur fighters who will be turning pro after the Olympics.

There's plenty of people that can potentially compete. Carl Froch, Witter's still in the mix, but let's not forget..........

        DANNY WILLIAMS!

Which is your question? Is it about british fighters or Filipino fighters? After Calzaghe and Hatton are done i think we would still have a lot of other boxers coming through, The problem about british boxing at the moment is that only Calzaghe and Hatton gets any media time for the last 8 years (That was due to Frank warren) which in turn gave the others hard time to breakthrough the mainstream.

The samething is happening again now with Amir Khan being the darling of the media (Due to his olympic silver win) while the others gets ignored, We have alot of talent but they dont get any attention.

Yeah Hatton would never step up to 147 and **** with the elite. He fought some bum called Floyd Mayweather Junior who some people said was quite good...

            ???

As for Berto being the next Mayweather, you have to be out of your mind.

I know he fought Floyd and that is why he will never move up to 147.I love how people like you make tons of excuses for Hattons loss but yet he never tried to prove himself after that in the elite division of 147.You can't deny Bertos talent the man has a stiff jab with blazing fast hands and can lead as well as counter. He might not be on Floyds level but in time he will be damn close to it.

Berto has 22 fights and has achieved precisely **** all. Unless you think that winning Floyd's vacated trinket in a box-off is an achievement. Floyd had stopped the man in his division and had what four title defense by the same stage.

Also Berto went pro as a middleweight and now boils down to 147 lbs. Floyd went pro as a super featherweight and managed to get titles at five weights. Can you see Berto winning at light-heavyweight?
