not a good idea for joan to be aggressive.

it's like telling a cavalier on a horse with a sword to charge a tank.

the boy has no power. he's best off just pitty-patting and dancing away.

It's arguable. SRL and Taylor had fast hands. Whitaker and Tyson in different ways. I think if you line them all up and say throw a 10 punch combo as fast as you can RJj is a notch higher even now. Honestly, you have to see him on a double end bag with 1 or 2 other guys. Amazing.

From the thread so far it seems absolute handspeed is relative b/c there are a few guys who can actually combine power with their fast hands.. Whereas the guys without any power are ultimately a little bit duller.

I still think that Meldrick Taylor was the fastest fighter that i have ever seen, even faster than Roy Jones. Ray Leonard was even shocked at his handpeed. You could barely see his hands when he would fire off a combinations.

To me having fast hands is good if u can throw punches with authority at the same velocity Taylor could not and IMO that is why Norris walked through him i know Taylor was a not a LM but Norris was a small LM and could have made WW by his own admission he told Taylor before the fight dont pitty patter cause ill just walk right through u and thats exactly what happened in the end

Ray Leonard was excellent at doing that. He and Robinson are the only fighters that actually had snap behind those flurries and can hurt you with them as well. Jones and Taylor mainly do it to look flashy and to get the judges attention, same with Calzaghe.
