Ingemar was pretty good IMO (of course I'm North European so I have bias), not great but he could set up his powerful right hand well, atleast until everyone knew it was coming. He was also chinny...
Patterson wasn't the only one he knocked out, Eddie Machen had a tested chin (went the distance with Liston and Cleveland Williams) but when Johansson dropped the right hand on him, he was out in the very first round.
Schmeling was small but if he fought like he did against Louis for the first time without fear, looking to counter with the right, he could possibly stop Roy (if he landed, Schmeling had remarkable power for his size with 40 KO's).
His title reign wasn't much to talk about though (won it from Sharkey by DQ and lost a controversial decision to Sharkey in a rematch).
Jim Braddock too... He was a light heavyweight.
