this numbers are obviosuly wrong, however anything be low 240k should be a failure for top rank.....because that means they're overpaying pacquiao...

just as i suspected, pacquiao is NOT a true PPV fighter without mexican fighters. 175K PPV buys is just pathetic to say the least!Comment

his wife even cringed when pacman unleashed that 12 punch combo on diaz during the 6th round...they BET money Against pacman! thats why they looked pissed!
it was like a 5 to 1 odds and they would of made big money.
they were mad cause joe cortez DQ the wrong fighter in soto lol...it was supposed to be pacman to get DQ against diaz so arum could make 5 million on the ******** line.Comment

No, gatti was his first, floyd wasnt that big of a draw early in his career. Not to mention, he wasnt promoted the same way cotto/pac are.yeah...... everyone is saying his baldo fight was his lowest at 300k.
did floyd not have ppv at 130 , 135 and 140?
i'm trying to remember. i know the diego fight was hbo but i don't remember if the gatti and castillo fights were ppv. i'm pretty sure castillo was hbo and not ppv though.Comment

With Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Vasquez, Margarito, and other Mexican boxers, they will have a big draw of fans. In the US, i believed there are around 30 millin Mexicans(Mexican-Americans, Mexican ancestry). That is a solid fan base right there. Just look at the fight events, lots of Mexican fans. Mexico is only next door, so its a few hours flight or drive to Las Vegas. If you have that many fans, then the PPV buys will be good.
For Pac, its the opposite, around 2 million Filipinos in the US. If you have at leat 10 millin Pinoys, then the PPV buys will be good.Comment
