manny can fight the guy soto "LOST" to in vegas and still make as much money as a fight with valero in texas would.

if they're trying to pull leverage they have none.

Manny wants a fight when the other major lightweights are tied up. Valero brings a very glossy looking record and with the typical Arum hype there will be a lot of people picking him by the time the fight happens. Valero also has a major following in Japan which will bring in more revenue. Soto is a tough customer that is a hard sell on PPV, as for the guy he just fought, you couldn't even sell that match in Manila.

Valero may not be playing hardball, just a little hard to get.

If Valero said he is not ready, there is no shame in that.
Why are people believing and listening to Bob Arum??!
Get knowledgable people, the guy is a liar and a cheat.

Then he shouldn't be making home videos calling out Pacman then. I've read somewhere that he also flashed a dirty finger on Pacman too, he has to back up what he had said and done, he's a wuzz...

They've been salivating for a fight against Pacquiao and when they saw first hand the beating Pacquiao gave to Morales in their 3rd meeting, they changed their mind and said Valero's not ready yet. After 20 months and 4 fights later, same lame excuse? Gimme a break...

if they're playing a little hard to get that's fine but he can't play hardball with manny. no one can right now. even marquez can't do it and he's the biggest name out there with golden boy promotions backing him up.

valero is a coward if hes backing down. he has been calling for pacquiao for a long time already and it is a cowardly move to back out now that they want to give him the opportunity.

So let me get this right, a boxer who has question marks over a serious head injury, yet continues to fight for our entertainment, is a *****.

              Ermm....yeah whatever.

if and when that turns into a controversy, it will definitely affect valeros rep ( up or down )

as always, its all about the dough.
