having two jumps up in weight is too much imo even for a fighter like manny, the pac man should imo take on a couple more fights against maybe rafael marquez or nate campbell. then he should consider the likes of hatton.

i think he seems in a rush to deal with hatton mybe he feels as though after a year hatton wont have anything left in him. imo hatton though will deal with paulie and still have enough in the tank to take on and beat the pac man.

ricky has the ring belt now at 140. if he beats ricky he takes the lineal belt at 140 too. that means lineal at 112 , 126 , 130 and 140. not bad for a one dimensional slugger eh......

before i thought ricky was too big and strong.

but seeing the diaz fight (diaz had 17 fights at 140 and 147 half of his record was above lightweight) and seeing how ricky did againt lazcano (a more natural 135 guy) i like manny's chances now.

i cant see pac going up to fight someone like hatton straightaway and then coming back down to 135. i remember reading a letter by nate campbell to the winner of pacman and diaz saying that he wanted to take on the winner.

maybe freddy wants pac man to grow into the weight b- i cant see him going up in weight and then coming bac down especially not when theres a dangerous fighter like hatton involved.

nah he's not big enough for 140. against ricky it's okay because he has speed and reach advantage and i think ricky is shorter than him.

freddie roach already said manny can only go up against certain junior welterweights and welterweights. either old , slower guys or shorter , slower guys like hatton.

there's too much money at 135 to completely abandon it. i think arum is scared ricky will lose at 140 before manny gets a chance at him. ricky-manny now would be worth up to $15 million to manny. a loss by ricky and manny loses out on that.
