Haye unified a division within 22 fights, Something those two didn't achieve in there first 22 fights. A bit of a difference.

I think you're right though and Haye will not risk the payday against Wlad next year by fighting a live opponent.
Haye-Ibragimov is a dream of a fight. It's be near even, maybe with Sultan a slight favorite with pundits, haye with the public.

to be fair Klitschko spent years Ko'ing cans in Germany finally stepping up after 35 or so fights. I can forgive Haye for fighting a fringe contender as his first fight as a proper HW. I wouldn't call a triple world champion a "joke" either.

Yeah i know, that was the point of my reply. Calzaghe was just about to win a vacant title and Hatton had just won the British title where Haye is undisputed champ and moving up in weight.

number of fights isn't a good measure by any standard.

wlad was european champ at 23 and heavyweight champ at 24

haye is going to be 29 before he even has a shot at a taste of it.

i don't see his cruiserweight titles as some kind of dominant reign of terror either. yeah its nice to say he has 3 of them but ultimately he beat a guy in mormeck who stands around and covers up and stand right in fron of his opponents and maccarinelli, a guy who proved to be nothing more than a silly welsh sheep****er.

Right now, I'm right in the middle here in my opinion of Haye. I think he's a good addition to a sometimes boring division, but I'm not ready to crown him the next "great hw." As for "sparking up the division," he hasn't done **** as of yet( he hasn't fought yet?)...

He has...But it was against a pretty **** oppenet in Tomasz Bonin. All that fight shows us is how much speed Haye keeps at the weight and how he looks. He KOd Bonin in one, but i don't know how good Bonins chin is to gauge Hayes power at heavyweight as of now.

He hasn't fought since his announcement to go up in weight; that's what I meant. Everyone loves a charismatic and exciting young fighter, but he has to back his talk up before hw pundits can start analyzing 'how good or bad' he is, and his chances against some of the top ranked fighters( Klitschko, Peter, Valuev, Povetkin, etc.)...
