Hard to say, a lot of Chavez's greatness rests upon some questionable outcomes (the Taylor fight and many decisions in his favor to extend the streak). Due to these his resume is somewhat overrated (namely in the record-breaking supposedly undefeated streak). If the rest of Pacman's career pans out well they have to be regarded as at least equal, probably with an edge to Pacquiao based on quality of opposition (although the Marquez fights, especially the second imo, will always be debated).

All you have to do is ask how many prime fighters did Pac face in his prime, and was he ever stopped in his prime. Pac has a ton to do before I can even begin to dicuss his legacy and compare it to Chavez's.

The resumes between the two make this comparison even sicker to think about lol. You Pac fans who voted that PAc surpasses Chavez in greatness ought to be taken out back and shot.

Its hard to surpass a guy who had clear victories up to his ninety somethin fight and who fought the best. He's doing very well thou and getting better. Pman has more fights in him, we'll see.

You go to say that Chavez didn't have good names on his resume and then when Xcaret owns you with a ****load of names you go to say "Well....it's not better then Pacquiao's"

Chavez's resume as a whole with his elite fighters > Pacquiao's resume with his elite fighters.

                  after pacman hangs his gloves

I am a big fan of many mexico fighters though i am a pinoy.many great mexican warriors i used to idolized like salvador sanchez, chavez sr. barrera and erik morales.i still believe that pacquiao needs more time and wins to the best boxers around the world.an upset win over de la hoya, then beat campbel or joan guzman, valero or sotto and beat marquez again...then theres no doubt in my mind that he surpassed jcc and can hang his gloves for good. goodluck manny...i am just honest and fair...

I cant believe Pac fans have the audacity to say JCC only fought cab drivers early in his career when Pac was being dropped by cab drivers early in his career.
