augie sanchez beat Floyd Mayweather twice in the amateurs but it safe to say if the fought at pro level Mayweather would destroy him. You cannot use an amateur fight has a reference to a pro fight...Thats just my opinion anyway.

My answer is YES it makes a difference if they fought in the Amateurs. As much as the Pro's no but it does make a world of difference.
Soooo, before Cotto fought Abdullaev as a pro, you would say that Abdullaev was the better fighter?

Judah is a better pro boxer than David Diaz. PERIOD. Argue against that, community college boy.

Judah is two-time world champion and former p4p lister. Judah is the former undisputed welterweight champion of the world. Diaz has not accomplished anything NEAR that. Understand, juco?

What happened at 17 years of age is now irrelevant. They are who they are today. As pros.

Joe Calzaghe beat Chris Byrd in the amateurs in 1992. I think it's safe to say if they would've fought 10 years later, Byrd would've made Joe his b!tch.

At the end of '06, I thought Pac desereved to be the man when he destroyed EM again while PBF was stinkin up the joint against Baldomir. But he had a stale '07 while PBF beat DLH and KO'd Hatton, so PBF rightfully edged him for the top spot. But wit PBF refusin to face his top challenger and plannin on fightin DLH again while Pac won a close war wit Dinamita then movin up to grab his next belt makes Pac #1, whether or not PBF was still active.

winning the rematch against DLH is a way better victory than David Diaz.

Also KTFO Hatton is a better victory than edging JMM in a close fight.

Erik Morales was a dead man when he fought Pak that third time. Are you even serious?
