Pacquiao also has very good power, Valero is a devastating puncher. The only chance Valero has against Pacquiao is to catch him flush on the chin IMO.

BUT this man is going to get his career ruined if he just jumps in with pac right now. He will probably be ko'd in under 6 and him being not a star would really hurt him badly IMO. Everyone he has faced has been Tye Fields esque so instead of stepping into fire he should fight someone a little lesser than Pac. 1 big loss + not fighting no one=disaster waiting to happen for your career in my eyes.
Sorry, but your perception of how Valero is off base. That sad song is dead. Pac needs to fight someone who can beat him. The valero you see now is not the guy you see on youtube. I don't want anyone to say that they saw this man fight, and say he can't fight. I don't want to hear about resumes, none of that stuff. He wants to fight
Pac, and has even made his move to 135. If Pac does not fight this man, he will not gain any more respect from me. He was a world champion, and just because you don't know the names on his resume, that does not mean anything. Nobody knew Ricardo Torres, and he almost stopped Cotto. History shows unknown guys beating known fighters. Valero is in his prime. Pac gets my respect if he beats Valero because Valero can fight.

yeah. it'd better not be that puss that won the belt by dq.

if he gets big money for a pacquiao fight after that disgrace he did laying on the ground complaining about an illegal hit...... that's just sad.

I feel like if Pac faces Valero it's gonna be pretty close to what Pac did last night. Valero is sloppy and throws wide punches and Pac would seriously do some damage with his fast hands and be able to get out of the way of danger with his quick feet. I agree with Silencers the only way Valero has a chance is if he lands a big punch. The thing is though would Pac's power have done him in before he had that chance.

Valero doesn't really have amazing power? If Pac has underrated power and Valero overrated, why didn't every single one of Pac's early fights before jumping in with the big champs end in brutal KO?

Man, to say Valero's power is not what it seems is crazy! He's knocked out every one of his opponents. Most of them chumps, some of them good fighters but very, very few people knock all of their opponents out. Valero is actually a good fighter and his power is completely undeniable.

I think it would be a really great fight and not at all 'murder waiting to happen'. Pac may win easy as Valero has not faced anyone of the very top tier yet, but Valero is good and certainly no pushover. He also can knock you out with one punch which keeps him in the fight until it's over.

There are some unanswered questions about Valero, but, one thing that hasd most certainly been answered is that he has freak power. Not good power, freak power! It would be very interesting to see this I think as Pac does take quite a few punches in his fights and while a Diaz is not going to hurt him with his soft punches, a Valero definitely could.

I really hope this gets made actually. It would be a fantastically exciting fight whoever gets knock out.

Good post. Valero is qualified. We can't know about every champ that hits boxing. Many unknown contenders have beaten a world champ. Valero is a world champ already with defenses. Good post. I'm glad someone other than me gives Valero a great shot to win. I've ordered 2 of his fights. He can fight, and is more than capable of beating Pac.

In my eyes he won. I can't regard Lorenzo higher and Soto lower based on what happened in the ring.
