Winky Wright Vs Joe Calzaghe at 168?

It's known by now that high workrates don't work as well vs Winky. He has proven that against Sam Soliman - who threw punches 3 minutes of every round.

And certainly throwing the combos Joe threw at Peter Manfredo aren't gonna work with Winky's superior jab.

    They'd never fight.

Winky is way too young for him. Joe only goes for DILFs.

        ???

Volume is the thing that works against Wright.

The Soliman fight was reasonably close.
Both the Hernandez and Candelo fights were decently close.
Taylor and Vargas got the decisions in those fights because of their workrate (because they certainly weren't landing at an extremely high rate).
Harry Simon outworked Wright from what I have heard.

Calzaghe wins this one pretty big IMO. Check my avatar and signature and know that I am telling the truth.

Be specific please. How does 8 pounds make a difference to Winky, a guy who has fought stronger fighters his entire career.

Joe Calzaghe is not a monster at 168. And Winky's fighting style works against all types of fighters.....he doesn't rely on pure strength.

Becuase Winky looked worse than a fat girl having sex when he fought Hopkins at 170... slow, lethargic, sluggish. Not good at all.

Calzaghe is too quick, accurate and relentless for Winky Wright. His roundabout slaps are what is going to get through/around the guard of the Winky.

                  Serious business.

I don't think he perfected his style vs Simon....I can't comment on that fight too much since I haven't seen it. Winky has some questionable losses on his record.

Winky maybe have had close fights vs Taylor and Hopkins and Vargas but fact is that's what they were.....close fights.

I can't see Calzaghe having his way with Winky. It would be a close fight all the way to the 12th and neither guy would be too sure of victory waiting for the scorecards.
