Ricky Hatton vs Manny Pac....the verdicts

How many of you believe this fight is going to get pulled off if all goes to plan with Hatton vs Maggy and Pac vs Diaz?

When I first heard of this matchup, I laughed my socks off. Partly because I thought it would be a complete mismatch with the weight issue. However, on further inspection the more I think about it the more I think of the fight being feasible.

What are your views? do you think it will happen and what do you think the outcome will be?

Even if Ricky looses to the Magic Man they still would put him in with Pac.Hatton can not loose his drawing power. He could lose 10 fights in a row and still sell out the MEN.

I think Hatton would win this fight by TKO or KO

I think Hatton would win this fight. I'm not sure Manny could cut it at 140.

I dont think there is any doubt that Hatton will beat Paulie, the questions around this possible fight will probably come in earnest @ ringside after the Pacman vs Diaz fight at the weekend,
I see Pacman beating Diaz and if its a relatively comfortable win at the weight then maybe the fight will happen.
In physical size there is actually not too much difference bewteen the two fighters but obviously Hatton should be stronger at the weight and more comfortable as its where he is used to campaigning.
If the fight happens i can see it being Hattons swan song in truth as its debatable if he has much left in the tank and a payday from a fight with Pacman has the potential to be massive.
My prediction if the fight goes ahead .... Hatton by late KO.

It has a good chance of happening.

Right now, I have to say Hatton by late knockout or decision, there's a slight chance of me changing my mind after this weekend.

Pacq vs. Hatton will happen and Hatton will win. He's too big for Pacq.

Yeah but I think Hatton isn't what he was. Certainly after watching the lazcano fight. Although he was under a lot of pressure for that fight to perform also a big comeback from a loss so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'll have to watch Maggy fight to make an accurate prediction.

i am leaning toward hatton, but he was not very impressive in his last outing so i can't be too confident.

I don't know who is gonna win between Hatton-Pacquiao.

I'll reserve my predictions 'til I see how the Diaz-Pacquiao fight goes.

On a side note I think the fight will happen this year.

Am I the only one that sees Diaz as a sort of practice run for Manny at 135 to see how he would do against Ricky?

Diaz is 5'6 or so. Hatton is around the same height. They are both very durable and have good chins. They are both pressure fighters that like to come in. Both are wear you down type guys but don't really have one-punch stopping power. Diaz was a junior welterweight before as well.

Obviously , Ricky is much more talented than David but there are similiarities between the two. If I was Roach/Arum and I wanted to test 135 and to see how Manny could do against Hatton , a former 140-lber like David would be a good test.

Of course Arum picked David because he's David's promoter as well so more money in it for him but still......if they wanted to test how Manny would do against Ricky , David was a good choice.

I think if Manny beats David handily , Manny and Ricky's next fight will be against each other.
