yea but I think the point is that Trejo has never actually fallen to punches to the head or body...as in, you know, a legit KO and not a freak injury.

I wish well for both Peterson and Vanes. theyre both young and will be challenging for a title in the future. at least sometime in the future.
wish I coulda seen the stuff tonight.

God these guys are ****in ******ed, they made the fight even more annoying to watch.

Peterson just doesn't have that stiff power in his hands. Thats it. They said it themselves, all those punches Trejo was eatin and his face was unmarked. lol Cause Peterson doesn't have that cement in his punch, simple as that. And hearin em talk about it over and over and arguing, lol jesus ****in christ they gotta be the most annoying announcers ever.

Vanes just turned all of 22 years old, much like JCC Jr. the guys are a LONG way from there prime and DO NOT have to fight a top guy now, or even in the next year.
They are learning and developing, there is a reason they're taking it slow. Why lose to a guy now who you would beat in three or four years?
I never once said he should fight a top guy, I said he's not that good.

Chavez Jr is crap, he actually looks to be getting worse with passing fights.

Both guys might end up fighting for some big money against the champ in the future but other then that, VS or Latin Fury PPV's against bums.

Yeah, Trejo's a tough kid if he has that many loses and never have been officially stopped, I didn't even know that to be honest. But yeah, a tough kid like that with a guy who can't really land anything heavy, of course it's gonna go the distance.

And these ****in guys all fight long, "he should wax him, he's not throwin hard shots" etc etc..

lol Peterson was scorin and unleashin vicious shots, he just doesn't have that sting in em. And the same type of ****in idiots were just callin Khan a bum with that same ****** logic. Both of em, Khan and Peterson fight the precise way they're suppose to.

Pterson sort of seems like a second coming of Juan Diaz if you ask me. thudding shots that land pretty cleanly and he throws a lot of them, but they just dont seem to have a ton of power behind em.

but theres nothing wrong with that. thats basically a weak punching boxer that decides to pressure and throw a lot of punches, which I think is fun to watch.

I had it a complete shutout for Peterson, and although I have seen him much sharper, I realize he hasn't fought in months, so I give his performance a "B" tonight. It was a very workman like win.

I thought the announcers ragged Anthony way too much for a fighter who was clearly winning every single round. His opponant has not been stopped by anyone in YEARS so why the announcers kept calling for a KO is kind of silly.

Peterson did was he was supposed to do - he went out there and won every single round, against a guy who beat Darling Jimenez according to the announcers.

I have had the ring announcing duties in 23 of his now 27 fights, so I am very familiar with both Anthony and Lamont Peterson. Both are tremendous young men in fact their whole camp is top notch.

Not Anthonys' best performance tonight, but he definately has all the tools, he just needs to turn it up a bit and he will be fine in this division...

Vanes impressed me more tonight. Consider this:

                  1. Trejo had 13 losses and was age 33. Hernandez had only 6 losses and was 32.
                  2. Vanes is over a year younger than Peterson, he still has more time to develop
                  3. Vanes knocked his opponent down, Peterson couldn't
                  4. Hernandez hadn't really been stopped (one TD) in almost eight years, Trejo was stopped in his last fight.
                  5. Trejo was recovering from an injury suffered in his last fight, Hernandez was healthy.
                  6. Hernandez had been in with more good fighters than Trejo (Wright, Ouma), despite having nine fewer fights overall.

Exactly, lol there's nothin wrong with that at all. The fight would have been entertaining if that Walley dude wasn't sayin the same **** and arguin for the entire fight lol.

But yeah, we all learned somthin about Peterson tonight. Even though he looks like the Juan Manuel Lopez of the lightweight division, he's actually lackin power and he can be hit. And with this division, it's gonna interesting seein him in there with some of the top names.

Juan Diaz throws punches 10 times faster and dosent let up. Peterson throws here and there then waits for the guy to throw back. Juan Diaz keeps on throwing. Two different styles, show some plain and basic common sense will ya? lol joking about the last part man.
