I have talked to Goody and Pit about that many times...one thing I always remembered was that once they were in camp for a fight and it was Super Bowl time...Hagler stayed isolated even then, watched the game by himself in his room and everyone else watched it together in another room. And no one could call him at training camp unless it was an emergency.

Never knew about the Superbowl story.

I've heard that Hagler called training camp prison, that he totally secluded himself from the outside world when he was in camp. I think the Petronellis said he was the hardest working fighter they ever trained.

Hagler definitely had a mindset and work ethic that is lacking in way too many AMERICAN kids these days
