If that is what you think of them having in Mexico, you have never been there. I have seen kids sleeping on the sidewalk homeless. I have see homes to families(2) that had a hole in the wall big enough to fit a truck and no electricity. You have no clue how bad it can get down there. I have seen some narley **** and I'd most definitely say that there is definitely parts of Mexico that are third world.
I do like Manny, but fighter of the decade is hard to say. I mean he has done a lot, but he does have JMM as a huge question mark, dude was lucky to get a draw after knocking a guy down 3 times. EM was way past anything, his heart didn't seem to be in it.
B-Hop has done a lot, dude is 43 and most fighters don't make it to 33. He beat a ton of ex-champs. And I think he deserved the nod in the first Taylor fight.
I don't like Calzaghe but you can't question an undefeated record, he is undefeated and held a belt for 11 years and never lost it, he moved up.
I don't like Mayweather either, however, should he come back he is the number one p4p fighter undoubtedly.
My point is this is all argumentative. Because if you would have asked about him being the number one fighter 5 years ago he wasn't. Five years ago it was all Hopkins, RJJ, DLH, Mosley, etc. So how all of a sudden is he the fighter of the decade? He didn't really step up to real comp until '03, he fought old beat up mexican fighters who had been in at least 15 wars, not fights, wars, Ledwaba was a solid W but how many legends did he fight and let alone win?
I don't like Mayweather at all, but even with him retiring he is the fighter of the decade, he did more in his 8 years then anyone unfortunately. He beat a lot good solid name fighters, and they were names for being champs, not for a couple of decent wins. The last time he wasn't in a title fight was in 00 for Christ sake. But that is just my opinion.
