I'm happy for Calzaghe. he's finally getting to fight who he wants.

Calzaghe will TKO Jones in about 9 rounds and prove he's the best MW-LHW of this generation!

End of September seems really soon. I can't see the fight happening till November/December, will be an amazing event though.

Can't wait. the sooner they do this, the better. I'm sure it won't be as quick as September tho.

It amazes me that so many people don't give Roy a chance in this fight. His strengths are speed, experience, power, ring intelligence and defense. JC is a very good fighter, but I don't see him with a clear advantage in any of these areas. Roy doesn't move well with his legs anymore, and I do give JC an advantage there. The issue of Roy's chin will not be an issue against a light puncher like JC. No disrespect to JC, but in his current form, JC is a busy fighter, but not a power puncher. IF JC can stay anywhere near his normal level of activity, stamina could be an issue for Roy. I just can't see JC staying busy with flurries trying to score points against RJJ. RJJ will lay some leather on JC and discourage him from fighting his normal style. If JC insists on his normal level of activity, I see a late KO for Roy over JC.

Good post, i agree but at Roy's current state i think he'll be happy with a decision like he was with Tito.

Roy, as I have stated countless times, by KO in 9 or a cruising UD. JC has fought very "safe" fighters for all these years, even Kessler. RJJ is on a different level in most every catagory. A 75% Jones shows up, the O will go Joe.

End of Sept is earlier than expected but it seems thats when theres an open slot in LA, and Millenium stadium in Nov was booked out I think. Shame if it's not in Wales, Roy said he was willing to travel to take on the no. 1 guy, something leads me to thinking he was trying to strike a better deal if he did that, hence Joe being open to LA.

I imagine this fight will get made. I read somewhere else that the fight was pretty much done and will be announced shortly.
