Pavlik should fight abraham next and then see what happens with the RJJ vs Calzaghe fight.

Won't matter really. Roy will get the job done. Pavlik has his own plans and I think the media made more of this than actually came out of the talks. Pavlik wanted it, Joe initially did as well - but - of course, one look at him up close and it's off to the seniors center. (No disrespect to RJJ, as I said, he will get it done.)

Abraham has a mandatory next, unless he can get some step aside money for that one, Pavlik/AA won't happen next.

I think alot of Calzaghe **** smokers need to be remembered of these quotes...

“Jermain Taylor is number one for me,” said Calzaghe. “He beat Hopkins, he’s young, undefeated, a massive test.”

“If I fight Taylor like I did versus Lacy, nobody can beat me,” he said. “Nothing’s certain, but I’m confident I’ll win. Jermain Taylor and me would be a megafight.”

Calzaghe understands that New York is the media capital of the world, that Las Vegas is the epicenter of the fight game. To truly get his just props, and be thought of not as someone who played it safe and feasted on home cooking, Calzaghe knows he will have to come here. And he’s not sounding like he’s considering ducking Taylor.

(^^^^^LMAO - seemed he not only ducks Pavlik, but he ducked Taylor too!)

Funny how Kelly get's no respect after these words rolled off the safely guarded lips of Joe "Overrated" Calzaghe himself. ****ing joke.

I have lost all respect for Joe Calzaghe over him ducking Pavlik, and his dad's a ****ing prick that clearly believes all Joe's success is down to him. The first fight I ever went to see live was Calzaghe vs Brewer and I have always been a massive fan, but I'll be cheering RJJ now.

Pavlik wouldn't even make the top 5 of Calzaghe's hardest hitting opponents.

I'm glad this site exists. It helps keep utter idiots off the streets and provides me with endless hours of entertainment now they've banned freak shows.

What kind of fan are you? Most boxers out there have done worse than what you even claim so where does that leave you? Calzaghe has never ducked anyone, and fighting the guy he's openly said was his #1 preference, and will trouble him more with speed and ring intelligence, than a predictable Kessler esk fight with Pavlik. Interesting you also hate frank warren, dude you can't always have everything your way, lose the anger kid.

Kelly Pavlik easily tops Calzaghe's top five hardest hitting opponents. He has the highest KO ratio out of any middleweights and is very heavy handed.Kelly is not a one punch knockout artist but can hurt with one well placed right hand or a body shot.To suggest otherwise you might just be the idiot!

He's got the opportunity to finally fight a young, undisputed champion in his prime and prove everyone wrong and finally put all the doubters to rest and instead he's fighting a washed up, over the hill Roy Jones. I just never expected it from Joe, that's all.
