Team Calz must have been eyeing a future fight up with Pavlik by letting there boyo Gary fight him, as this would be a very good way of measuring how good he is compared to his fighters first hand.

But if Pavlik had any brain's he would have made the lockett fight a close 12 rounder to try and lure them into a fight with Joe.

Gary was a mandatory. Few expected him to do well, even Joe said "no disrespect to Gary, but Kelly isn't on my level".

Kelly Pavlik has already done more then Abraham, Froch and Tarver combined and Roy Jones is way outta prime. Kelly Pavliks resume right now is on pace to be better then Joe's ever will be. Two Taylor wins and a Miranda win are way better then Abraham, Froch and Tarver's resumes. Although I would like to see a Froch/Calzaghe or a Froch/Pavlik fight!!!!
