lol, wow that is a ****** ass idea. I think Hopkins being a 40+ year old champion and doing pretty well against Tarver, Winky and Calzaghe pretty much proves that 40+ year olds can hang. not too mention the countless 40+ year old champions long before bhop.

Yeah, it would've been pretty ****** if Hopkins would've been barred from re-matching Taylor, considering that their first fight had such a debated decision. A rematch was pretty much essential.

I am quite surprised to hear this though. Are the WBC saying that they wouldn't want the sanctioning fees that would be generated by Roy Jones fighting for their belt? I know he's not 40 yet but if he were to beat Calzaghe then it's possible that he fights a WBC guy after reaching that age, and generates a lot of cash in the process.

Its' interesting that the cut off age is exactly the age Roy Jones is now. Is this the Roy Jones rule, might as well call it that if this goes through. I don't like this idea one bit. They talking to Felix but this rule effects Roy more so than anyone else and he's the only 39/40 somehting that I can see competing in a championship fight and winning. Arbitrary rules are usually bad. If someone isn't worthy of a title fight, just don't sanction it. There should be an age limit for old fat commissioners so they can retire Jose.

Try proving that one day. Fat Jose is corrupt and also biased toward Mexican fighters. The WBC was supposed to be out of business a few years ago for totally screwing someone out of a title shot to cater to Roy Jones. He is a pompous ass who has caused more problems than he has ever solved.
