Arum really wanted that fight to get made, and so did Warren, which is a small part of the reason why Calz is dumping his promoter. Not the whole reason mind you, but we all know who ducked who. Arum is working on big names for Kelly, and I'm not sure why you are dismissing the fact that Mora is a legit opponent now that he holds a major alphabet title. And why Abraham and Kelly have to be on the same card to fight each other soon I don't get. Arum will do what he can to make the fight happen in early 2009, I sincerely believe that, as do many others on this site.
I'm not one of thosepeople who actually believes... If you believe cal ducked Pav, then we don't need to talk. I want to see Pav-Abraham. I don't want to see Pav destroy another hand fed guy Arum is offering up. I don't want to see Pav-Mora. AA and Pav fighting on the same card, and then each other in a super fight is how it has been done for a while. We can get to know their stroeis. It may not happen that way, doesn't mean i can't wish it happens.

Doesn't Pavlik have a mandatory defense coming up? I hope he's not gonna postpone the fight with Abraham because of some meaningless mandatory.

Kelly Pavlik vs. Sergio Mora in Serious Talks For The Fall

Joe Calzaghe is out. Ricardo Mayorga is out. Marco Antonio Rubio is out. Now it appears that "Contender" season-one winner and current WBC junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora is the likely opponent for WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. The fight will take place on Sept. 27 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City or Oct. 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. [details]

Hand fed? The WBC 154 lb. champ who just took the title from Vernon Forrest, a guy ranked by most as the best at 154, is "hand fed"? You really don't wanna give Pavlik or Mora any respect, do you? Nevermind, go back to washing Joe Calzaghe's ass, you're mongoloid observations have become tiresome.

i think that would be a good fight, the only issue that i have with the fight is the fact that pavlik has a bigger weight advantage, whereas mora has proven 160 to be a tougher task than 154. i thought mora looked really good at 154, i thought that mora being at 160 is tough because of the size of the guys that are dropping down to fight at 160. pavlik is a guy that very well could fight at 175 and still be very effective, i think we'll see that some time in his career.

but style wise i think pavlik vs mora would be a good scrap, mora's chin would definitely be tested to the fullest, which he has proven so far to have a solid chin, better than average. his speed and footwork would give pavlik something to overcome, both have good work ethics and high punch out puts. i was extremely impressed with mora's fients agianst forrest, i thought that was a huge factor in beating forrest, his fients were just as good as punches and they were extremely effective, and agianst any fighter mora's fients would give anyone trouble. pavlik has the power to neutralize anything his opponent does and he applies hard pressure. this is a very good match up.

and no matter what win, lose, or draw, i would like to see pavlik fight abraham....!!!!!!!!!

                      Oh. Nevermind.
That rematch clause is at 160. If he moves up, you can't force a rematch.
