fighting a 5'6 hatton at 140 is one thing. besides at least he has a speed and reach advantage over the hitman.

fighting 5'10 guys at 140 who cut 20-25 lbs. is another.

i just don't see bob keeping him at 140. fights against juan , juan ma , joan , edwin , joel at 135 is much more profitable and easier than fighting anyone at 140.
But if he beats hatton at 140 what reason would he have to fear anyone else there? Hatton's pretty much been the consensus king there for years and there doesnt seem like there'll be anyone that'd pose half a threat to take that from him other than Pacman.

it'll shorten his career having to fight the 140 lbers. instead of 135 lbers.

the junior welters will be able to handle manny's punches better and his fights will be longer and tougher.

i think manny is hitting the downside of his prime. fights at 140 against bigger guys will expediate his deterioration.

besides who's at 140? malignacci? witter?

at 135 he can fight juanma , juan diaz , joel , guzman , valero , etc.

i'd rather see him at 135 fighting all the good lightweights and super feathers.
