Thats not true AT ALL. U guys need to do some research.

There is a reason the UFC has zero deaths, and nobodies been carried out on a stretcher. They dont take SUSTAINED beatings.

YOu get hit hard flush, ur getting knocked out. Ur not getting buzzed and then recovering 10 seconds later and recieving more of a beating. U get KO'd, which is a LOOOOOOOOT safer and anyone who knows what they are talking about would agree

I would have thought larger gloves would cause more brain damage as a knockout is less likely and the brain is more likely to sustain a 12 round beating than a quick knockout.

Being knocked out by a punch is less damaging than being dazed over 12 rounds

      I agree with 6oz or 4oz gloves.

Last year a MMA fighter died from a blood clot.

And you just pointed it out yourself, MMA fighters don't take sustained punches to the head whereas boxers do and boxers punch harder than MMA fighters.

              Larger gloves=less hand/fist injury=more punching=argument closes.
              Chao.

10oz gloves are a bit ridiculous on LW's-WW's. But I believe that Berto was wearing 8oz gloves just that the grants look wider. Also the gloves had nothing to do with Berto not KOing him sooner. Berto just doesn't have that type of power.

first of all, that MMA fighter wasn't uFC. Second of all, a japanese boxer died THIS year.

And third of all, MMA fighters don't take as many punches because they get knocked out before they are able to. Not becasue they throw less punches. The only reason less punches are landed is because once u land a certain amount of punches with 4 ounce gloves, the fight is usually over.

U cant take many flush shots with 4 ounce gloves.

With 10 ounce gloves???? forget about it. If u have a decent chin u can take hard shots for 12 rounds solid.
