No doubt. Arreola had already hurt him in that first round and then again in that last round even worse. I mean that last punch was a huge shot and Witherspoon had to give it two trys to get back up. I mean Dibella is probably standing up for his guy, but he would have gotten even more pounded if the fight had went on.

      Oh Boy!!!

does he wants chazz to get killed, that guy was slapping chazz around like he was a rag doll, chazz should feel lucky his corner did what they did, as it shows up as a dq instead of a flush knockout.......

oh god, does it really matter? witherspoon was gonna get ktfo'd in the next round anyway. he barely got to his corner even with the help of his trainer. hopefully arreola doesn't take the rematch and moves on to a better opponent cuz I don't think anyone wants to see a rematch except for the witherspoon camp.

In my own personal opinion I think Chazz would have been stopped in the next round anyway BUT i think the referee made a bad call.

The bell did ring as Chazz was going down so the referee began the 8 count. Chazz beats the count. Take note: during this time the ref HAD NOT turned to see ANY of chazz's cornermen...nor did i see they were actually in the ring. Once chazz beats the count the ref checks him and clears him to continue (more than likely unaware the bell had rang as he was ready to signal, "box" as he turned to the corner who by then was getting on the ring apron and in the ring).

The corner played NO PART in aiding chazz as he was hurt nor did they disrupt the ref's 8 count and clearing chazz to continue. It was only AFTER THAT did the corner come into the ring...but note; the ROUND WAS OVER at this point.

I think you have to give chazz a fair chance. he beat the count...even though i believe he would have been stopped the next round you have to give the guy a chance.

I hope this DQ can be changed and we can have a rematch. that would be fair for both because im sure Chris wants it to be a win/knockout win rather than a DQ win...

If this was true though (about the cornermen being in the ring and that being grounds for DQ) what about roger mayweather getting in the ring in the mayweather/judah fight? how come floyd wasnt DQ'd for that???

roger did a lot more in that fight than chazz's corner did...all that happened for them is they got excited when they heard the bell and got ready to get in the ring...but realized the ref was counting the knockdown...so they waited...and when he was done THEN they got in the ring...

no harm no foul. i say let the fight continue.

They were on the side of the ring while he was counting.

You can argue this all you want, but HBO had no video showing that his corner was in the ring DURING the count. All you can do is take Ledderman's word for it which I definately wont take that nuts word for anything.

That ref just proved that he was a dip**** trying to cover his tracks. He said he knew the round was over, then why did he put his arm between the fighters then lift it as to say "fight on"? He had no idea the bell had rang.
I was sitting ringside and they entered before the count. Also, they entered because Chazz had absolutely no idea where he was or where he was going. He was out. I am not saying the ref is not a dip****. He is, but that fight should have been stopped right there. I was literally 20 feet away. I was worried for Chad.

Arreola would have won either way.. it didn't look like the tide was gonna turn in Witherspoons favor.
