rematch, nice paycheck for everybody but will hbo buy the fight again?

if the bell did ring then you still have to wait for the REF to stop counting, because in some rules, YOU CAN ONLY BY SAVE BY THE BELL IN THE LAST ROUND of course some states/titles dont' have this rull or is the reverse of this rule.

it should've been stopped it was pretty obvious that Witherspoon was rocked pretty bad, he was leaning on the ropes when the ref was checking him out and wobbled like crazy after beating a 5 count i think it was

The referee said, "you cannot be saved by the bell" before the fight started.

Witherspoon would have been KOed in the next round anyway.

what the heck is dibella dis*****g then, sounds like it was a good stoppage. thanks for the info

Arrelola looks like he is going to get a title shot and people have said to put him in with Peters but what people forget is that Peters and Arreola have the same promoter and i don't think he'll put them in together. Maybe after Peters gets a rematch with Wlad. Or Peters gives up the title to fight Wlad and then Arrreola fights for the vacant title Peters vacated.

I'm not saying it wouldnt have ended anyways. But the bell rang as he was going down. Witherspoon got up, the ref took his gloves and seen that he was ok. The REF didnt even know they bell had rang. He cleared witherspoon before he even turned around. At that point that the ref had already finished counting and checked him out his corner came in. They were on the side of the ring while he was counting.

You can argue this all you want, but HBO had no video showing that his corner was in the ring DURING the count. All you can do is take Ledderman's word for it which I definately wont take that nuts word for anything.

That ref just proved that he was a dip**** trying to cover his tracks. He said he knew the round was over, then why did he put his arm between the fighters then lift it as to say "fight on"? He had no idea the bell had rang.

so what, chazz was done, he looked like a drunk crackhead when the ref asked him if he was okay... Arreola would've prolly killed him in the 4th round...

I honestly think the ref should have stopped it when chaz wobbled towards him. Then there would have been no argument. But you have to agree with a minute to rest someone can get their legs back, and we know from hearing him after the fight that he knew he was being ****** for trading with arreola. So who knows that might have been a wake up call.
