What's with all the hate for Andre Berto???

He's an exciting fighter to watch. He has excellent power and speed, and has shown that his defense has vastly improved. He shows up to take his opponent out, rather than pity patting his way to a points victory.

All i see is certain posters talking about how the kid is garbage, and how he will get killed by the top WW competition. I really dont understand why everyone isnt behind the kid and supporting him. Its not as if he's claiming to be the best in the world. He's said himself that he's still learning etc..

Although i agree that he needs to step up his competition, i still feel that the kid will make a big impact in the WW division. Give the guy a chance, and stop being so critical. Its almost as if certain posters are sour about the fact that he has taken Floyd's place in the WBC rankings.

Dont even try to tell us that, OH HE NEEDS HIS TIME. if he needed his time he shouldnt of fought for a championship belt! Berto is one of the hottest young fighters in Boxing, people hate on him for fighting "Bums". They turn around and say the top guys would blow him out the water, talk about some ****** ass logic. They all believe you should throw the prospects to the wolves and see if they can survive, ofcourse if they lose they were "Exposed" and "Bums".

i dunno i think hes an exciting fighter to watch, im not saying hes the top WW. but id watch him fight again and again if he fights like that.

I think he looked great tonight. He showed his usual quick as hell hands and his defense if gradually getting better. When he uses that jab of his he does well because it's lightning fast and can set up his other shots. In his one fight where he struggled some against Cosme Rivera he didn't use it as much, but the last three fight after that he has and dominated in all of them. Plus that uppercut is just brutal. He about took Rodriguez's head off with that punch tonight.

With the WW division so loaded with good fighters it's going to be interesting how he fairs. I think they have brought him along nicely and at a good pace. Now though I think it's time for him to enter the second phase of his career. Starting out with the lower of the elite's in the WW division and moving up after each win. He's now another name to add in the best division in boxing.

Berto is only 24 years Old....come on now People got to understand that he is still learning how to fight....

But i Will say this...If berto would focus more on guarding his chin more when he does his half shoulder rolls.....His defense would be a whole lot better....
And he could be in way better position to land his uppercuts....

I think Berto needs to test himself now...with a fighter like Gomez....
to see where he is really at in this division...

Stop hating on the guy. You sound ******. If you got a chance to fight for a vacant title, you would take it too. None of the belt holders right now are true champions. It's going to take a few of these guys to win at least 2 fights. Cotto needs wins over margs and williams, williams needs a win over cotto, margs needs to beat cotto and williams, and berto needs to take on other guys until they are finished.
