Who's got the better defense Arthur or Winky?

I think it's Arthur, he's never been really shaken and I've seen Qaurtey, Soliman and especially Taylor landing shots through that defense. I haven't ever seen Arthur getting hit with a flush shot when he covers up. Also he bends forward when he covers up to make his body a smaller target and essentially forcing opponents to hit low.

I've been thinking about who's got the better defense for years but now I am completely sold on it. Miranda didn't even graze him the whole fight. Not even a partial shot went through. Maybe two body shots, max.

Winky got hit because he was coming foward, if Winky sat back like Abraham does, he'd have better defense. Even then I think Winky might have better defense, maybe not nowadays, but he certainly did.

Well if you're basing their defense 100% completely upon just their shell... I give it to AA.

However, Wright uses his jab and walks his opponents down while using his shell effectively. While AA's defense is very tight, all he does is curl up into a ball and weather the storm. Wright's ability to steer his opponents around w/ his jab and footwork counts as part of his defense in terms of utilization.... therefore he gets the nod.

This is a ****** question, there is a difference between actual defense and sitting there on the ropes covered up which is what Arthur was doing.

Winky can do it all. Arthur is FAR from a defensive mastermind.

Good point! Yeah I bet their defense completely upon their shell. Winky does more off the shell though. He hammers that jab.

Both have a really good defense, but at least Abraham has the offensive tools to put his opponents away, and make for an exciting fight unlike Winky.
