I'll jump on the Abraham bandwagon. Pavlik has reach and workrate, but so did Miranda (5.5"!) until he got KOTFO.

Man did Abraham look that impressive? Miranda doesn't have all that much talent. Pavlik knocked him out. Pavlik is a strong fighter, I'd say much stronger then AA, that will come into play in this match, both are physical fighters. And although AA is solid Pavlik's power and work rate is what diminishes fighters, it seems is motto is I am gonna hit you, you may block some but I am going to hit you. Pavlik's jab is a controlling one he literally hurts you. His offense makes fighters scared to open up.

That all being said AA can knock out anyone in the division. I personally think we need to see this fight, it would be a close one, but size counts and Pavlik is a big man. He looked big next to Miranda, Pavlik will look huge compared AA.

But a good defense usually means a lower work rate. Let's take the KO's out of the equation - who wins then. Obviously Kelly. Which brings me back to what I stated in another thread, Kelly's work rate and the fact that AA will be too far and few between with his chances - will only have the punchers chance to win. He is not a skilled boxer, he is skilled defensively. Also, as someone else pointed out, Kelly will keep the distance and pick him off at will. AA will have to lay it all on the line and get into a slugfest, which is right up Kelly's alley.

Like I said before the Miranda fight, The King will rise and then he will chase down the ghost.

I'd say if your reasoning as to Pavlik winning is the fact that if neither had KO power that he'd win is flawed from the get go.

                Abraham by KO.
LOL Like emanuel steward talked about with Taylor. Just purely disrespecting him saying he isn't that talented, he has no boxing skill. I admit that Pavlik doesn't look special at a glance, but pay attention to what he does he comes at you but keeps his distance, when the distance closes he has one of the nastiest uppercuts in the business, his left hook isn't to shabby either. It would be no easy task beating a bigger most likely stronger fighter, who has knocked out the king pin of the division. Basically I am saying Pavlik isn't the chump your making him out to be.

Taylor gave Pavlik problems in spurts in the second fight, and Abraham will do the same. Arthur though has problem with busy fighters. He is a smart fighter and thinks about his shots at times and loses productivity because of that. He will then fight in spurts to help his cause out. With pavlik who is vulnerable to being beaten in spurts, Abraham will need to fight out of instinct, something he is not used to doing. He will find success in spurts but will be forced to react more than think and that will hinder his offensive output and his effectiveness. Abraham has the better chin even if part of it is man-made, and with the power of both men a punch or cut could change everything. I think Abraham's demeanor is better under those circumstances, but I will go Pavlik UD in a fight that the fans and the sport deserve.
