Did anyone else think the ref jumped on Gomez a little quickly in the Khan fight?

han missed with half of the punches in that flurry, he only landed about 3 maybe 4 good ones so it was a bit unfair imo. i can see what why the ref stopped it theres no point in gomez taking more puncishment than he needs to.

but he was fighting back throughout the whole fight - its a shame that the ref didn't give him another 10 seconds.

Gomez was fine it was a load of bollocks.

Basically to win a fight in Britain you have to throw lots of punches regardless of whether the fight is actually hurt or not.

The ref is in there seeing punches land that might not look all that big from the camera angles we see.

Boxing is different nowadays to the old days. When you see old black and white footage. Boxers are nearly killed and the referee lets it go on. If you compare it to the old days it was stopped too soon. A few of Khans opponents perhaps have been IMO.

But it seemed like Khan hoped it would have went on longer for some reason.
