Khan looked quite different than usual in the first round, throwing shorter punches than usual and it was quite impressive the way he was getting his combinations off, he looked like a very intimidating attacking boxer.

I think this was a bad fight for that particular experiment though because it directly lead to him getting drawn into a brawl, when he'd have been much better off boxing on the outside. Of course, that would have been boring for us.

All in all its good that Khan's been in a toughish fight like that and been hurt, because experience counts. I don't think he's ever going to be quite the unstoppable force some of us thought he might though, he really isn't very good technically, he can't fight inside and compared to the real speed merchants of boxing, he isn't actually that fast.

I think he'd be well advised to stay at lightweight as long as he can too, because his size at the weight is giving him lots of advantages.

Almost backfired on him, the good thing coming from him staying on the inside was that it gave us an exciting fight.

Were u reading the round by rounds or did you actually watch the fight? because from what I saw in the fight was this in summary:

          - khan knocks gomez down with flurries, gomez gets hurt
          - khan gets knocked down (a flash kd as well) where he wasnt hurt, his gloves didnt even touch the canvas, gets up immediately.
          - khan gets hit by a bodyshot and answers back straight away with a lot of punches on his own, which all of them connect to the chin of gomez.
          - khan knocks him down with a bodyshot
          - khan flurries and gomez doesnt respond to unanswered punches, ref stops the fight.

I thought you were $IN and were going for the subtle, sarcastic angle as a change.

            I miss $IN.

I watched the fight, Khan's legs weren't steady when he got up.

Khan got hit by a bodyshot, dropped his hands immediately and covered up, a few seconds later, he came back with a flurry of punches.

I agree, but I do think it's possible that his chin would improve if he moved up in weight.

Khan was hurt to the body quiet badly, you could tell after he was covering his elbow over his ribs afterwards. Even the commentator thought he might have a broken rib.

No worse a chin than Cotto or Haye but most ppl think their the **** lol.
Good fight from a relative novice against a real hard bastard, Khan will win a version of the world title im sure, P4P status I think not.
