granted duran was much smaller and bloated and past his best at that weight but that right hand landed on one of the best chins of that era and duran just dropped. (by the way im a duran fan)

Prove me wrong, most of the people Tommy Hearns beat were alot smaller then him. When Tommy Hearns fought someone his own size he got his ass kicked real bad by Marvin Hagler
Tommy Hearns is like Jermaine Taylor on the level of opposition he fought, fighting smaller guys. Once both of those fighters stepped up and took on someone there own size, they crapped themselves

They didn't say which fighter it was cause they didn't know much about it.
Duran didn't hand pick anyone list of great fighters he fought: Hagler, Leonard(thrice), Hearns, Buchanan, Benetez, Kirkland Laing, Pipeno Cuevas, Iran Barkley, Vinny Pazienza (twice), Hector Camacho(twice), Pat Lawlor(twice), Esteban De Jesus, William Joppy.
Hand-picked? That's a hell of a resume right there. Duran was a great.Last edited by Ryn0; 06-20-2008, 07:01 PM.

Hearns was the best pure boxer that i have ever seen and he definitely had the power and ability to do it, but he would be knocked out if the fight went past 5 rounds. He is not naturally as big as Pavlik and Pavlik has excellent stamina and Tommy did not like to be roughed up, especially by bigger fighters.
