granted duran was much smaller and bloated and past his best at that weight but that right hand landed on one of the best chins of that era and duran just dropped. (by the way im a duran fan)

Tommy Hearns is like Jermaine Taylor on the level of opposition he fought, fighting smaller guys. Once both of those fighters stepped up and took on someone there own size, they crapped themselves
If there one thing Hearns has that is better than Pavlik's it his Right hand, stuff of legend right there.

Was duran overrated? I was never a huge fan of him, because I listen to this radio station called Preston and Steve*it's a kick ass radiostation you can download all there pocasts online dating back to even 2005!!! It helps me get through the work day*, Btw on that show steve said that he heard that Duran was overrated because he hand picked his opponents and when he stepped up his opposition he quit on the stool. They didn't say which fighter it was cause they didn't know much about it.

Duran only quit ONCE, he cleared out the lightweight division stepped up from lightweight to welterweight and beat Sugar Ray Leonard, they fought a 2nd time and Duran quit. It's the only time he's done that. He won titles at Lightweight(buchanan), Welterweight(ray leonard), Light Middleweight(Davey Moore) and Middleweight(Iran Barkley).

Duran didn't hand pick anyone list of great fighters he fought: Hagler, Leonard(thrice), Hearns, Buchanan, Benetez, Kirkland Laing, Pipeno Cuevas, Iran Barkley, Vinny Pazienza (twice), Hector Camacho(twice), Pat Lawlor(twice), Esteban De Jesus, William Joppy.

Hand-picked? That's a hell of a resume right there. Duran was a great.

He is not naturally as big as Pavlik and Pavlik has excellent stamina and Tommy did not like to be roughed up, especially by bigger fighters.
You do know Hearns was build for 15 rounds right???

****** that you would say that. Because Hagler walked right threw every fighter he fought. He was like a ****ing rock. If you've seen alot of Hagler fights you'll see tht he took straights and hooks to the chin by some of the hardest punchers.
