'Skills' encompasses more ways to win a fight than just knockin somebody out wit 1 big blow. Good defense, speed, tough chin, a lotta **** can nullify punchin power. A skilled boxer has more ways to beat his opponent.

There have been a number of greats throughout history with weak or mediocre power.

On the flipside, how many great fighters throughout history had power but little else? Even the less-skilled greats throughout time who were big punchers had some skills, and more than just power.

A guy like Marciano had his own effective, awkward defense and style, slipping jabs well. Foreman had a good jab and ring-cutting ability in addition to his extremely heavy hands.
